General 2010 NEW! Personal Identification is Required to Vote in Idaho Idaho Code New State Law effective July 1, 2010 To vote you must either: Present a photo ID or sign a Personal Identification Affidavit Acceptable forms of photo identification include any one of the following: An Idaho driver's license or Idaho Photo Identification Card A U.S. passport or Federal photo identification card. A tribal photo identification card. A current student photo ID, issued by an Idaho high school or post secondary education institution. October 8, 2010 - Last day for elector to pre-register for the General Election. Election day registration is available. Absentee Ballots

Applications for absentee ballots can be obtained in the Latah County Courthouse, in room 101, the Auditor's office.
Application for Absent Elector's Ballot (PDF) - You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
Starting a few weeks prior to the election you can vote absentee in the Auditor's office.
Approximately a month prior to the election sample ballots will be available in the Latah County Courthouse, in room #101, the Auditor's office.

Registering to Vote

Latah County Auditor's Office, room 101, Latah County Courthouse.
City Hall's in Bovill, Deary, Juliaetta, Kendrick, Genesee, Moscow, Potlatch and Troy.
Applications to register to vote are available at the Public Library, the DMV (located in the Eastside Marketplace).
To be able to vote in any election you must register to vote 30 days before the date of the election.**
Registration will be closed 30 days prior to any election.

Additional Instructions for:

** If you are not registered 30 days prior to an election, but can prove residency for 30 days, you can register and vote absentee or register and vote on election day.
