Property Conveyance Technician

Starting Salary: $29,184 - $31,000+ depending on education and experience; excellent benefits

Summary of Duties
*Read, understand, and process real property conveyance deeds and related documents for the Latah County Assessor.
*Maintain property ownership records and line-of-title references in the Assessor’s Office.
*Coordinate with Assessor’s Cartographer to update ownership transfers, to process real property land divisions and combinations, and to create new parcel numbers and tax number legal descriptions.
*Maintain Assessor’s property records and files.
*Administer Property Tax Reduction Program (“circuit breaker”) for the Latah County Assessor; assist applicants with completion and submission of forms.
*Process and perform data entry for all types of property exemptions.
*Assist public with face-to-face, telephonic, written, and electronic requests for public record information for which the Assessor is custodian.
*High school diploma or GED; college credits or degree desired.
*Three (3) years of progressively responsible office or administrative experience.
*General computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in word processing, presentations, spreadsheets and data bases.
*Strong administrative organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
*Possess a valid drivers’ license
*Preference given to qualified veterans

Brief Job Description: Provides part-time clerical support for the Extension faculty, staff, and their outreach programs conducted in Latah County within the framework of the policies and directives of the United States Department of Agriculture, the University of Idaho, the Extension System and the Board of Latah County Commissioners.

Salary Range:Annually $30,048 - $41,388 DOE. EOE/ADA $0.75/Hour shift differential from 6PM to 6AM in addition to a generous benefit package.
Duties: Dispatch takes calls for service utilizing telephones, Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf and in person; immediately assessing the situation and determining the type, nature and scope of the emergency. Must quickly enter information into a Computer Aided Dispatch system and dispatch emergency personnel using fire, medical and law enforcement radio systems. Clerical duties as assigned. Required: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to think clearly and take control in stressful/emergency situations utilizing knowledge and common sense; good hearing and diction; computer typing skills at 40 WPM (certified test results); excellent customer service; ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to work varied shifts and Holidays. Successful candidate will be required to pass a background investigation and written/practical examinations. Must be able to attend a two week training academy at Idaho POST Academy within the first two years of hiring.

The Latah County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the positions of Sheriff’s Deputy. Successful applicants will be offered a position based upon current openings available.
Applicants must be 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must pass written test, physical agility test and oral interview. Successful applicants will undergo an extensive background investigation to include polygraph, psychological examination and medical examination. Successful applicants must be able to attain Idaho POST certification within 12 months of hire date or already have POST certification.
