Salary Range: $26,244 to $36,180 annually plus $0.75/Hour shift differential from 6PM to 6AM and $125.00 per month flat fringe benefit in addition to a generous benefit package.

Successful applicants will undergo an extensive background investigation to include a polygraph examination. Successful applicants must be able to attain Idaho POST certification within 12 months of hire date or already have POST certification.

Reports to: Elected Clerk and Chief Deputy Court Clerk
Job Summary Scanning and indexing all court records. Data entry and processing of traffic and misdemeanor cases, including receipting for fines and bonds. Responsible for large amounts of cash and credit card transactions. High volume of direct contact with the public both over the counter and on the telephone
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Scanning and indexing of all court documents and contact person with the Historical Society for transmittal of archive files for storage and preservation after scanning is complete.
• Answers phone, receives, screens and directs calls.
• Data entry of traffic/misdemeanor case information.
• Aid in completing and processing paperwork for traffic and misdemeanor court, including receipting for fines, bonds and restitution payments.
• Authority to grant continuance in traffic and misdemeanor cases at the window, to setup and prepare deferred payment agreements in traffic and misdemeanor cases at the window, set cases for pre-trial conference upon a plea of not guilty at the window.
• Check people into court, directs them to the proper courtroom and explains general procedures of traffic/misdemeanor court to defendants.
• Must have the ability to successfully conduct an interview with the public in person, on the telephone or other means of communication to determine an appropriate course of action.
• Run various computer generated reports.
• Old file searches and record checks upon request.
• Back-up mail room duties for building.
• Order calendars and place where needed in each courtroom every year.
• Must be able to work accurately, efficiently and pleasantly with constant interruption.
• Maintain confidentiality.

The Fairgrounds Director oversees all daily operations of the Latah County Fairgrounds including but not limited to fiscal accounting, personnel management, event planning, promotion, grant acquisition, and building and ground maintenance.
The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of fiscal management, event planning, marketing and promotion, grant writing, building maintenance, and have great public relations and personnel management skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Public Relations or Recreation Management or similar field is required. Experience in fiscal management, public relations, supervising, and building maintenance is preferred
Candidates must be proficient with the use of computers for document preparation, budget management and accounting, presentations, publications, and scheduling.
A successful applicant must be available to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week or arrange for facility coverage. All applicants must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
The starting salary for this position is $44,520 DOE with a full benefits package that currently includes a $2700 per year flat fringe.

Latah County Probation & Youth Services is accepting applications for the position of Probation Officer Assistant. This is a part-time intermittent position, 20 hours/month or more (depending on availability and schedules), $10.78/hour.
Job Description: The primary focus of this job is the supervision of adult and juvenile clients who are required to fulfill obligations to the community as directed by the court. The Probation Officer Assistant helps the Resource Officer and Probation Officers by transporting probation clients, supervising community service projects, administering urinalysis tests, supervising study table, and other various duties.
Qualifications: Must pass Criminal History Background and Sexual Offender Investigation; completed at least one year of college or have at least one year of experience working with adolescents; possess a valid driver’s license; excellent written and communication skills.
