Job Title: Probation Officer Assistant – Tracker

Wage: $9.96/hr Hours: 15 hrs/month or more (depending on availability and schedules)

Duties: The primary focus of this job is the supervision of juveniles who are required to fulfill obligations to the community as directed by Juvenile Court and related probation agreements based on the Balanced Approach Theory. The Probation Officer Assistant helps the Resource Officer and Probation Officers by transporting juveniles, supervising community service projects, administering urinalysis tests and being a role model for adjudicated youth. Selected applicants may also be required to work with some adult misdemeanor clients as well on a limited basis.

Qualifications: Must pass Criminal History Background and Sexual Offender Investigation; completed at least one year of college or have at least one year of experience working with adolescents; possess a valid driver's license; possess current vehicle insurance; excellent written and communication skills.

Job Title: Project Specialist for Fairgrounds

Wage: $11.69/hr Hours: Part-time

Duties: Assists the Fairgrounds Director in all duties related to the planning and implementation of the Fair and the scheduling of the Event Center with extended hours before and during Fair. Greets patrons coming into office or calling by telephone, responds to routine questions with accurate information, and relays or forwards messages to Director. Maintains filing system, designs needed publications using desktop publishing, networks with businesses and agencies for fund raising and sponsorship of Fair Awards. Collects and inputs data to create spreadsheets and maintains mailing list for mass mailing as needed. Operates a variety of office equipment.

Required: High school diploma; or GED plus one (1) year additional experience in related position. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and solve problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to stay on task and focused on routine projects. Ability to be dependable and resourceful. Ability to use Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Explorer and Outlook. Ability to show attention to detail.
