Wage: $9.96/hr Hours: 15 hrs/month or more (depending on availability and schedules)
Duties: The primary focus of this job is the supervision of juveniles who are required to fulfill obligations to the community as directed by Juvenile Court and related probation agreements based on the Balanced Approach Theory. The Probation Officer Assistant helps the Resource Officer and Probation Officers by transporting juveniles, supervising community service projects, administering urinalysis tests and being a role model for adjudicated youth. Selected applicants may also be required to work with some adult misdemeanor clients as well on a limited basis.
Qualifications: Must pass Criminal History Background and Sexual Offender Investigation; completed at least one year of college or have at least one year of experience working with adolescents; possess a valid driver's license; possess current vehicle insurance; excellent written and communication skills.

Duties: Assists the Fairgrounds Director in all duties related to the planning and implementation of the Fair and the scheduling of the Event Center with extended hours before and during Fair. Greets patrons coming into office or calling by telephone, responds to routine questions with accurate information, and relays or forwards messages to Director. Maintains filing system, designs needed publications using desktop publishing, networks with businesses and agencies for fund raising and sponsorship of Fair Awards. Collects and inputs data to create spreadsheets and maintains mailing list for mass mailing as needed. Operates a variety of office equipment.
Required: High school diploma; or GED plus one (1) year additional experience in related position. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and solve problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to stay on task and focused on routine projects. Ability to be dependable and resourceful. Ability to use Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Explorer and Outlook. Ability to show attention to detail.

Latah County has an exciting job opportunity for a Planner to work as part of the Planning and Building Department team.
The Planner prepares and presents reports for development proposals, processes administrative permits, works with applicants and citizens regarding land use regulations and enforcement, administers other department programs, is a liaison to various commissions, assists with long range planning, and conducts legal research. The position requires a range of skills necessary to perform in a department administering a rural jurisdiction.
The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of the various principles and practices of planning and design, including thorough knowledge of economics, finance, sociology, community development, hearings procedures and planning law.
A bachelor’s degree in planning, geography, or other related field is required. Two years of experience in planning or related field or a Master’s degree in a land use policy or related field are preferred.
Candidates must be proficient with the use of computers for research, database management and use, document preparation, presentations, publications, and geographic information systems.
Candidates must possess excellent customer service and public relations skills.
Attendance at evening meetings is required for the successful applicant. All applicants must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
The starting salary for this position is $38,676 to $48,000 DOE with a full benefits package that currently includes a $2700 per year flat fringe.
