The Latah Trail will be a non-motorized transportation corridor essentially traveling along the old rail road right-of-way, parallel to State Highway 8 between Moscow and Troy. It passes through agricultural fields and forested areas, and passes by five rural unincorporated residential developments including Eastman Acres, Woodland Hills, Cornwall, Joel, and Howell.
The project will connect the Troy City Park to the City of Moscow's bike path system, which will eventually link with the Chipman Trail in Whitman County. This will provide a 22 mile linear park system from Troy, Idaho to Pullman, Washington. Residents will enjoy a safe and convenient route for walking, bicycling, in-line skating, exercising or other numerous non-motorized uses.
