Proposed Trail Regulations

  1. Hours of operation will be from dawn to dusk. Including the trail, dedicated parking areas and facilities.
  2. No motorized vehicles will be allowed on the trail, except emergency vehicles and peace officers in the discharge of their duties, unless otherwise authorized by the Latah County Parks and Recreation Director.
  3. Trail users are to yield the right-of-way to motorized traffic at all intersections designated for motorized vehicle access.
  4. All animals must be on a leash no longer than six feet in length.
  5. Trail user must clean up and remove all solid waste left by animals under their control.
  6. Trail users must stay on the traveled portion of the trail and respect the private boundaries of neighboring landowners.
  7. Trail users may only access the trail from designated access points, unless otherwise authorized by the Latah County Parks and Recreation Director.
  8. Trail closures may be in effect during periods of high fire danger or at other times as the County's Parks and Recreation Director will designate.
  9. It shall be unlawful for any person, except for peace officers in the discharge of their duties, to discharge any firearms or other projectile firing device within the limits of the Trail property.
  10. All hunting and/or trapping are prohibited within the Trail right-of-way.
  11. All organized events must file for a permit with Latah County Parks and Recreation.
  12. No structures, temporary or permanent are allowed within Trail property boundaries unless otherwise authorized by the Latah County Parks and Recreation Director.
  13. No alcoholic beverages allowed on the Trail.
