LCYAC is a county-wide resource that assesses, educates and provides Latah County youth with positive development opportunities.
The Council is represented by thirty diverse individuals representing cross sections of our county, meeting quarterly to address county-wide needs and programs.
LCYAC is primarily funded through a Drug - Free Communities Support Program Grant provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). We receive additional support funding from many sources including Latah County Board of County Commissioners, Latah County Youth Services, Moscow Rotary Club, and the kindness of many individuals in our county.
In addition to our Council we also assist and support three community task forces. Let's Get It Started (LGIS) is located in the Potlatch area, Youth In Crisis Committee (YICC) is located in the Troy area, and Kendrick – Juliaetta Youth Advocacy Council (KJYAC) is located in the Kendrick-Juliaetta area of Latah County.
The Latah County Youth Advocacy Council is youth families, and community organizations collaborating to reduce youth substance use in Latah County.
